Does youtube allow you to edit the criteria by which it recommends videos?

The recommendations often seem to focus on things I have only seen a few videos of or happen to be commonalities between otherwise unrelated videos. I'd like to be able to look at the criteria it recommended these by and remove them. I'd have to close out most recommendations anyway, but it would be useful to prevent recommendations I know I would have no interest in.
