What are badgers dependant on to survive?

Badgers will eat just about anything. They hunt for ground-dwelling animals such as rabbits and gophers. They also eat birds and eggs, insects, worms, frogs, reptiles, etc. They have been known to eat carrion, and can become intoxicated from eating rotten fruit.
